What constitutes an activity?

I have many interests that take up a significant portion of my time, but I'm not officially taking classes on those subjects or joining clubs about them. For instance, yoga is a big part of my life, and I do a lot of genealogy work. Would these be included in the activities section, or would I just have to skip them unless they're in an essay?

Pretty much anything can be considered an activity.

Would going to the gym and taking a boxing class be considered an activity you can brag about or is it meaningless?

Yeah. I run 2 miles everyday. Would I look like a moron if I put “running” as an activity? I also play guitar in my free time. What about that?

So colleges wouldn’t think “This girl’s crazy” if I put genealogy as an activity?
@mook32, the interests in question aren’t meaningless to me, and I don’t want to brag about them, it’s just that they occupy an important and substantial part of my life and I want colleges to know that.

Well I actually wasn’t trying to belittle you, I was being serious. I also want to know if I should mention my stuff. Your yoga activity is the same as my boxing/gym activity I can’t give you an answer. However, I would put down your genealogy work because it is research and I doubt anybody does that in their spare time.

Hmm. Yeah, I would count boxing. It’s more of an activity than my yoga, as I don’t even take yoga classes anymore. I just have some videos.
