What consumes more energy and time? SAT OR ACT?

Hey guys im just wondering which test takes more time to prepare and perhaps t get a better score. Is it SAT or ACT?

It depends. Take a practice SAT and a practice ACT, and see which one you do better on. You need to prepare less on the one you do better on, generally. For me, it would take less time on the ACT, because I already know all the math and grammar, and I don’t find the reading questions particularly difficult. I mainly needed to prepare better for the science section. Some people find it faster to prepare for the SAT than the ACT, and some the other way around.

IMHO, the SATs are more exhausting.

Sat .

Our family experience:
SAT is more grueling, and SAT prep is more aggravating.

Thanks for all the post!
The general ambience is i guess tells me SATs take much more time…

Don’t forget to leave time for SAT II’s if you will be applying to schools that want them. My daughter didn’t even consider taking the SAT II in Biology at the end of 10th grade, but my son will definitely do that.

SAT definitely requires more energy because there are 10 sections, as opposed to the ACT’s 4 sections.
