what courses do your school offer??

my school has AP American, APUSH, AP Government, Chem, Bio, Physics B, Calc AB, Stat, Spanish, French, Italian, English Lang, and English Lit.

AP Physics C, AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, AP World History, AP Psychology, any AP Latin classes, AP Human Geography, I’m sure more

Regardless, there are 20 APs offered so no one can complain.

My school has AP Computer Science AB, Stat, Calc AB, Calc BC, Physics B and C, European history, US history, German, Spanish, French, AP lit, AP lang, and the equivalent of AP chemistry if you take two years, the equivalent of AP bio if you take three years, and in addition I guess we have a wide variety of electives.

Many APs: English lit and lang, German, Latin Vergil and lit, French lang and lit, Spanish lang and lit,Calc AB and BC, Statistics, Bio, Chem, World Hist, USH, Human Geo, Euro, Physics, Gov’t, Micro and macro econ, Psych, Comp Sci, I don’t know the rest.
No Chinese, Italian, Russian, or Japanese. You can take APs whenever you want during your high school career. No IBs. Auto shop, cosmetology, woodworking, lots of ‘obscure’ classes. Lots of sports, but no rugby, cricket, polo, water polo, equestrian, etc.

If you want to take a class, you can probably take it at my school.

We don’t have the following APs: World History, Human Geography, Computer Science A, Comparitive Gov/Pol, Computer Science AB, or Japanese Lang/Culture.
We just have a class called AP Physics C and then most people take the Mecahnics test, but some do Electricity/Magnetism.

Some interesting classes we have…

Family & Child (you learn about little kids and our school has a preschool so the people taking the class can actually watch and play with the kids)
Big variety of cooking, woodshop, fashion design, and media classes
Lots of classes with Photoshop
Women’s Studies
Huge and intense Creative Writing class where you write a whole like 150 page story in the course. Sounds cool but not for me
LOTS of sciences electives in a lot of different fields

dancingbananan… There’s an AP Russian? I thought it was like only in the talking stages and was never really planned out yet.

For APs: Calc AB, Stats, Biology, Chemistry, Physics B, US History, Art, and English Literature

thank you guys so much! it really helps.
apparently, there is such a diversity among different schools, and i can talk a lot about this.
And I am glad for more, thank you. =)

I believe our school has every AP except AP German, AP Italian, AP Japanese, and AP Latin… our foreign language department is severely lacking in these areas.

Also, freshmen aren’t allowed to take AP courses except AP Computer Science A, and sophomores are restricted to only AP World History, APUSH, AP Euro, and any of the AP language exams, unless they demonstrate talent in another subject area. For example, this girl got into AP Lang for her sophomore year, and a boy got into AP Calc AB for his sophomore year. But we do also offer honors classes for the more talented underclassmen: Molecular Biology (which I’m taking), Accelerated Chemistry (taking next year), Algebra II/Trig (currently taking), and Pre-Calculus (taking next year).

Hope this helps! Good luck on your project!

Also for honors classes, there is…

English I-IV H, all years
Geometry, Alg II, Precalc H. There is also Unified Calculus III and Differential Equations, two honors electives that can be taken senior year if you get a 3+ on the Calc BC exam
Bio, Chem, Physics H along with some honors electives I believe
World Civ, US1, US2, and Global Studies H for each year of Social Studies
Levels II-IV H of all languages (Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese, French). Latin only has levels II and III H before going to either AP Latin Lit or Latin Vergil (not enough Latin takers so they alternate every year)

Along with Symphonic Band, Chamber Choir, and some orchestra classes that are honors level

AP: US History, Government, Calculus and Stats

Lots of need for improvement!

We don’t have:

chinese

For APs we have:

Calculus
Statistics

Biology
Eng Lit
Eng Comp

U.S. History

No AP, IB, or honors.
