What date should my plane ticket to LAX be?

<p>Last year move in was from Aug 18 to 23. This year, is it safe to assume I can buy a plane ticket for arriving August 19 sometime during the day? My parents want to buy the tickets now in advance to save money I guess.</p>

<p>You’ll want to get there early, so it may be best to fly in the night before, stay at a hotel and get to USC first thing in the morning (8am? Is that when it starts? I can’t exactly remember, hoping someone chimes in…)</p>
