What defines Legacy?

<p>I'm kinda confused about the term: legacy. I don't know if there's another thread like this, so, I'll go ahead and post this</p>

<p>Does legacy apply to your immediate family such as your mother or father or can it apply to your mother's and father's brothers and sisters? </p>

<p>Can it apply to your 2nd cousins or what?</p>

<p>It depends on the college. Usually parents and grandparents. Never heard of aunts or uncles however. Certainly not 2nd cousins – six degrees of separation???</p>
