Hey, so its high time i decide what university degree i want to enroll in. I've been interested in the construction side, so was thinking about doing civil engineering/Quantity surveying. Looks like the construction industry has been hit hard, and also found out construction jobs are very recession sensitive and insecure. So, i don't want to give it a shot as i am concerned about job prospects.
I was thinking of doing something like Computing or Accounting. I don't have a solid interest in computing, not the slightest but enjoy working in the business/management side. I am however, planning on doing a diploma in computing, alongside accounting/cima/acca. I am excited about taking an accounting degree, which is very well new for me as i completed high school concentrating in science.
What do you people think? Is it sensible for me to drop my idea about civil engineering?
And do you think computing/IT would be hard for me as i have whatsoever NO Interest playing around computers? I just enjoy playing a game/surfing.
Do you also think i will have good job prospects if i stand with a diploma in computing, and a degree in accounting/Part qualification in acca or cima?
I am mainly concerned about job security and solid salary. And please, do not mention anything about "Do what you love" .
