I'm interested in seeing what everyone on CC has received for Christmas and/or Hanukkah. For those who celebrate Hanukkah, I know it's not over until later this week, but what have you gotten so far?

This is what I got, combining both gifts I received from my family and from my friends:

-iPad 2 and a case
-MAC makeup
-"Oh, Lola!" by Marc Jacobs (perfume)
-Clinique Happy perfume
-Michael Kors wallet
-Scarf and a new top
-Lingerie
-Foundation and foundation primer
-Spending money (I seriously needed this)
-Chocolate
-iTunes gift cards
-Vintage picture frame
-Rose flavored mints
-Lotion and anti-bacterial spread

My boyfriend proposed to me! I’m so excited!

Other than that, my brother wrote a song for me, my parents got me some clothes good enough for interviews, and a friend got me some really cute socks. My gift exchange with other friends won’t happen until later on.

North Face jacket (style name- Denali) & mittens, Vera Bradley Metropolitan bag and some other stuff from there, Coach Suede Tinah boots (light brown/tan background with brown C’s), 2 sweaters, black fashion boots, ballet flats, external hard drive for my laptop, Bath & Body Works stuff, cash.

That’s wonderful, Chandi. Congratulations to you both!

Here’s what I got:

-a guitar, capo, gig bag, a learn to play guitar book, picks
-iTunes cards
-gift cards to Target and Wal-Mart
-earmuffs with which I can listen to my iPod (I was supposed to get gloves to go with it, but my aunt and uncle can’t find them at the moment)
-blank CD’s to make playlists for driving around my college town (I can’t mess with my iPod while I’m driving; that’s just too much)
-headphones and jack adapters so I can play my keyboard without bothering people

All I wanted is to go to the Electric Daisy Carnival in Vegas this summer. My parents agreed I didn’t really get other presents because that will be expensive as hell, but I’m happy!

I didn’t get too much from my parents as they paid for my car to be repaired a few weeks ago and that was expensive as hell. But they got me a winter coat, long underwear, socks, texting gloves, and a Starbucks gift card. Then from various relatives I got: a mug, hot chocolate, a kohls giftcard, a scarf, and a Michael Kors wristlet iPhone case.

I got a lot more than I have in a very long time:
From boyfriend and his family:
-Ring
-Ghost book
-4 seasons of Big Bang Theory
-Dog calendars (this is for both of us since we live together).
From sister:
-Sweater
-leggins
-Various sized mixing bowls
-Measuring spoons
-Gift card
(I felt bad that she got me so much stuff since I got her barely anything).
Parents:
-Dressy sweaters
-Dressy jacket
-Tool set (with every tool I’d ever need)
-Fuzzy socks
-Jewelry holder
-Some MSU clothes

I’m sure I’m leaving stuff out. Normally we don’t buy each other much (usually half of this at the MOST), but we all got better jobs this year so I guess we splurged a little haha. I also needed kitchen stuff desperately (hence my sister’s gifts) and I needed dressy clothes for my new job (hence the dressy clothes). I work six days a week so my family knows its hard for me to go shopping so they tend to do it for me haha.

I got:
A sapphire ring from the 1960s
A lime green dress from the 1970s
nail polish
Das Weisse Band on dvd
PETA cookbook
Moulin Rouge CD
Napoleon biography
Last stand of the 300 documentary
W. Somerset Maugham short stories
The Hangover
North and South (Richard Armitage!!)
My Hero season 1
The Iliad & The Odyssey
The Way we live now (anthony trollope)

Tremendously happy. I also cooked most of the Christmas dinner and drank tons of Chardonnay:)

@Future- I was kind of thinking the same thing. Although if it’s from a significant other, it could be sexy/romantic (as long as it’s the right size!!).

Depending on the lingerie, it’s something people in my family give away. I used to live in a state that didn’t have Victoria’s Secret, so I could always count on a shipment of Pink products from my grandmother.

Honestly, my family flying in from Georgia and California and spending the first Christmas with us was enough buttttt I also got:
Kindle
Slippers
Lotion/Body Spray Set
Gloves/Scarf/Hat Set
Gift Cards to BWW and the movies
Jets Shot Glasses
Snow Boots
Sex and the City Perfume
Aeropostale Bag
Closet Organizer
my Intersession Class paid for : )

I didn’t really look at presents until right now; it seems like a lot. I am very blessed. :)

My parents gave me an iPhone (we all got upgraded to one) during Thanksgiving and my mom also bought me Modern Warfare 3 last week, so those basically counted as my Christmas presents. I only did a gift exchange with one other friend, and she gave me “The Game” by Ken Dryden, which is one of the best hockey books ever written, and she also gave me a $25 App Store gift card, so I’m happy LOL.

I got:
*A dress and tights
*Black Pants, Rain Boots, and a Rain Jacket [Which I desperately needed this semester. I learned my lesson about the rain and walking to classes. xD]
*College survival kit [cleaning supplies, bandaids, rubbing alcohol, etc]
*$50 giftcard to Target
*Two Christmas Ornaments
*A picture of me and my friends from prom last year
*Calendar
*Some other stuff…
