<p>I chose to live in an unfurnished room off-campus this year and was wonderig what stuff would I need. What brands are good for these stuff? I'd like to hear from you. I'm thinking about buying an air bed but not sure if they are comfortable. What are the good brands?</p>
<p>With furnishings, you have to think if you just want to buy a few cheap items to get by with, and likely throw out when you finish college, or buy nicer things (or even bring your furniture from home) and move with them. I live in a house with a few other people and have acquired things like end tables, couches, etc. I've bought a few nicer pieces of furniture I plan to keep when I'm done with school.</p>
<p>I personally find sleeping on the floor with a few blankets even better than an air mattress. You could really do it cheap and get crates for storage, buy a used mattress, and maybe a couch.</p>
