<p>just to clear some things up:
-subscores added do not necessarily give you your score on a particular section of the test
- -0 on any section is always a 36. if you got less than that on a section, you got at least one problem wrong</p>

<p>ok, so i must have missed one in there on english.. that’s weird why it was still 18 and 18… whatever, i got my goal (actually one above my goal—goal was 33.. so 34 puts it in bag for me)</p>
<p>if i get an 8 or 9 on the writing (i’ve gotten 8’s on all of them so far), should i really worry about taking it again just for writing? i mean, a 34 with an 8 or 9 writing is still good, right?.. english/writing combined would be about a 31, but even if they figured that in to make a “new” composite with writing, I’d still have a 33 overall, which is still good… but i don’t think they make a new composite, do they?</p>

<p>I am extremely happy with my first three scores and my composite, but unhappy with my 25. This is only because I’m gonna apply to schools like Middlebury and Brown. Should I retake just for the science? Thanks.</p>
<p>arduouspallor i’m in a similar situation. I like my scores and my composite except for science. I think I’m going to take the ACT once more either in June or in September just to see if I can improve again. I wouldn’t call it “for fun” but just to see if I can get a 31 or 32 but I am happy with what I got this time.</p>
