<p>now what's the purpose of putting the "characteristics of a good roommate/suitemate" or "other living considerations" parts? Even if you put "nice, clean, studious, etc.", there is nowhere else on the application to show who is nice or who is clean or who is studious. How would they use that to match people up??</p>

However, I don't feel I need to be more careful in the things I say. Practically everything is in jest, and if it hurts your feelings, I really don't care. Some people really need a sense of humor. For the most part, I try not to be too offensive(I dont need anybody reporting me=p), but if you think I am, why don't you just carry your grudge with you to UCSD and beat the crap out of me. Or better yet, come to my house. I live in Taft, CA. It's small, I wont be very hard to find.
Though I usually only respond to people I know, and they know I am joking, I told many of them I was going to beat them up regardless =p....

Your original response to her housing application answers is rather open (in terms addressing a stranger) and opinionated which seems like it characterizes a party-goer. Look, I dont like stereotypes as much as you don't, but I can't ignore the fact that, culturally, asians generally tend to be respectful, quiet, and submissive, and whites more opinionated and loud.
Before anyone gets the idea, dont bother to flame me about how youre the antithesis of that statement, because I didnt qualify all whites or asians as either, its just a general tendency and cultural consequence.</p>

<p>I personally like the suspense, which is why I'm not looking for a roommate to request, but some people aren't like that and would like to know someone before they end up living in a room with them for a year. It's not so unusual to look for roommates in online forums, you know.</p>
