<p>I was just wondering what other people put, particularly in the social/neatness section. I put 4 for both after talking to someone else going there next year, but now I'm nervous I'm going to get a loud, messy roommate (I know, I brought it on myself =) So basically I'm just wondering what everyone else put, and also if anyone who is currently attending Harvard has stories about what they put/what they ended up with. Thanks!</p>
<p>I’ve heard stories all over the map with roommate assignments.</p>
<p>Personally, I didn’t feel that my roommate application was considered much at all. I had one roommate, and our sleeping hours were almost completely opposite, our musical tastes were incompatible, our social lives were entirely different, and we didn’t have much in common at all. So we peacefully coexisted for much of the year.</p>
<p>I think there’s a lot more to be said for luck than the application. I know a lot of people who loved their roommates for reasons that couldn’t have been captured by the application. I know others who, based on the application, looked like they would have been perfect matches, but really didn’t get along well at all.</p>
<p>So, long story short, don’t sweat the application. But, in my experience, I find that people tend to gravitate toward the middle on the “neatness” question. Everyone answers 2, 3, or 4. ;)</p>
