That’s exactly how I felt! The prompt was really easy.

That’s exactly how I felt! The prompt was really easy.

I had a pop in-class essay on Truman and the A-Bomb on Friday; I think I smiled a bit when I read the prompt today.

Hitler and Nixon (Watergate)

I doubt the graders know who Kid Cudi is…

Lincoln, the Prince, and Bush/Guantanamo Bay…

I had to pretend to be a republican…haha

What did Kid Cudi have to do with this prompt? LOL.

Well, the night before the test i couldnt go to sleep, it was around 12 and i decided to listen to some music. I first listened to a couple songs by blu & exile(not popular, but a big fan) and that wasnt working so i but on some cudi. listened to a couple of songs and just remembered some of his lyrics and applied a line to the prompt. Somewhat stretched, but it worked surprisingly very well.

1984 (Big Brother & the Party), Mussolini (connecting briefly to the cheka during Bolshevik Rev. and Hitler), and Macbeth (shorter than I wanted, ran out if time). Hoping for a 10+, I only had about 4 lines blank at the bottom so I hope that helps a little bit.

I picked Hitler, Stalin (so original!), and Nixon. Hehe, might’ve been a little bit too cliche’d…hopefully that doesn’t count against me.

Women’s spheres and Hester Prynne. Used them as 2 different examples, but tied them well together.

I have a question. What’s the best score an essay that has no conclusion and covers 1.5 pages can get?
Just assume that everything else was perfect (which it probably isn’t the case but just assume).
It should be pretty obvious that it’s incomplete considering I stopped mid-sentence. x_x

We were one day off in AP US History from covering a very nice topic that would have suited the essay prompt (Hoover’s policies during the Great Depression). Alas, I couldn’t think of anything so I went with two literary examples: Grapes of Wrath and George Orwell’s Shooting an Elephant.

I’d be happy with a 10.

@strawberries: most likely 8 or 9 would be your best score.

Thanks thrill.
I’ll pray for a 9 then. >.<

WaterGate scandal and Teapot Dome scandal

Watergate, bs personal experience, and Chappaquiddick (although I misspelled this)

Not sure its a smart idea to discuss the essay… The embargo is only for the MC…

How extremely random/coincidental - I got the “is moderation an obstacle to success” one, and one of my paragraphs was on Hoover’s policies at the start of the Great Depression.

But yeah, why does it feel like everyone got the leader one?

Where do you live? They may have given different essays for different time zones. Just a thought. I live right outside of Boston, MA, in case you were wondering.

I can tell from your username. =P
I’m in California, though.
