This seems like a stupid question but my incompetent guidence counselor has done a wonderful job of confusing me to kingdom come...
If an application deadline is, say, dec. 1, does that mean that I have to click send on my common app before that date? Or does it mean that my school has to have sent in my transcript, reccomendations, and sat scores by that date? Is it the same for early action?

I’m almost 100% sure that they need everything arrived by whatever the deadline is: including transcripts, recs, etc. Watch out though, at my school, the guidance office here takes up to 15 days to send out the transcripts and such, so I would check to see how long it takes for your office to get everything ready for the colleges.

I would not worry about the deadlines, though, and try to finish as early as possible, so you don’t have to worry about deadlines. Just my .02c

Thank you! I believe my guidance counselor was implying the opposite, which makes me nervous…I’ll be extra sure to have things in early then.

Better early than late. And my interpretation was that all electronic things had to be submitted by that date, and all paperwork postmarked by that date.

And incidentally, while Romulus and Remus were raised by the wolf, each was human.
