What do colleges actually see?

I'm pretty content with my May SAT (first time) of 2020. However, out of curiosity, I was wondering what score report are colleges sent. I know they see your essay but can they see your essay/grammar score? Also, do they see how many/what type questions you got wrong. And how specific if they do see how many you got wrong (Ex. 3 SC and 4 passage) etc. Thanks if you can help.

lol, you are paranoid my friend.
they dont really care about how many SC questions you missed.
they don't have time to scrutinize over your SAT scores.

CB sends your all your SAT and SAT II scores along with the range.
they get a copy of your SAT essay as well.

how do i know this? i asked an senior admission officer @ Rice University.

They see Everything. They all your secrets and the skeletons in your closet. So, basically they see into your soul...literally.

Actually, they see only you scores of your tests and possibly your SAT essay, but I am not completly sure.

Alright, thanks.
You said "along with the range"
What is the range? The percentile???

If I take the math 2 subject test, and don't do well on it, and decide to take the history or biology test , will the math 2 score still be on the same score report as the history and biology (considering that I do well and only want to send those scores, not the math 2 score), even if I don't indicate any colleges on the math 2 subject test? Thanks!

yeah. all SATS including the subjects are bunched together. its wack...

they see the essay? OH NO! I hate my essay!
if only they didn't see the subject tests though, and only the ones you want them to see, haha.

yeah id dint' know they saw our essays... do they actually READ them?....

^ i hope not!

Don't think they have the time...

the range is -50/+50 your score.
if you take it again without learning anything, your score should fall within the "range"
lets say your score is a 720, your next score would be between 670-790

anhtimmy - are you sure colleges are automatically sent a copy of your essay? Is this just Rice or is it all colleges?

From what I understand, the essays are posted for each college on the same website as the scores. Colleges can download the essays if they choose. But they can download the scores without the essay.

interesting. my essay sucked.
