as years go by, is IB becoming more well known by US universities?

Some students do take multiple exams as early as the junior year...if you have and do not send the results, it looks suspicious.

We know what the IB curriculum is, what it means, and what courses are involved. I personally review hundreds of IB candidates each year - many of them have taken 2-3 SL exams in the junior year.

AdOfficer, this is really weird. The IB program only allows diploma candidates to take 2 SL exams in their junior year, not 3.

Marian -- exactly! I do think that not all Admin officers are completely versed in how the IB works (and how unusual it is to do 2 SL exams in the Junior year -- that doesn't mean that the student is necessarily doing better than the other kids, they may have picked a much easier subject).

It may be that some IB kids also take AP tests (my son will have a couple done by 10th grade) but most kids would have just 1 SL test if any. And how would the Admin Officer know if you weren't sending in the scores?

I'm currently in full IB and am not taking any AP courses. I would like to self-study some. I'm wondering if an IB course has to be HL to sufficiently prepare you for an AP exam in the same subject?
