What do Colleges Think?

Hi!

I live in TN and got into one of my state’s Governor’s Schools. I am also likely to be delegate to Girls’ State this year. So my question is, what impression does this give colleges? Let’s say there is an applicant with all the same things I have except I have these two programs, how much better an applicant does it make me over them?

The corollary is compare these two students with all other things being equal. That is a fallacy. All other things are never equal.

To answer the first part of your question: Governor’s Schools and Girls (and Boys) State are highly regarded, IMO.
