I am considering Penn or Duke right now. Duke definitely has the better campus, but Penn and Philly seems more fun than Durham. As much as I love the Duke gardens, if that is the only thing around, I am afraid that I'll get sick of staring at the flowers. So, what do Duke people do for fun?

Franklin St. over in Chapel Hill (Robertson Duke-UNC bus line runs every 1/2 hr.) is awesome - it has a lot of things to do. Also, there are museums and such in Raleigh, and even within Durham, there's Southpoint (which is a nice, upscale mall), Northgate Mall within walking distance, Brightleaf square, 9th street, and probably more cool places I haven't ventured to yet. The triangle area is def. not a huge metropolis like Philly is, but there's definitely stuff to do with friends when you get bored. Also, there's always events on campus - like movies at the BC, parties, academic/extracurricular/research opportunities, etc...
