I am only a sophmore in highg school who is nned of some good extracurricular activities.

There are 4 good clubs that I wanna go to but i don't know which one or two is best, because I can only go to 1 or 2, which do you think is best?

1)Academic Decatholon
2)Envirothon (Decatholon for biology and enviormental sciences-competition)
3)Chemistry Club (Can help me get into AP Chemistry)
4) Odyssey of the Mind (problem solving competition)

ALSO:
I am going to be doing a research assistant thing at NJIT on tissue engineering, and brain cancer.

Do you know of any other FREE programs at colleges that will be good for someone who wants to major in pre-med or a B.s/MD?

By the way i am a New Jersey High School Student who goes to a competitive magent school, and is majoring in a special Bio-Medicine program, if that helps!

Please answer my questions i am lost!

There's no answer to what is the "best" EC for you to do. I can't predict what the W&M (or whoever) adcom will think if they see Chemistry Club versus Odyssey of the Mind or anything else. The important thing with ECs in my opinion is to A) do them because you are interested in them and then B) put a lot into them and do more simply that stay in the crowd. I can guarantee colleges will respect "President of the Chemistry Club; Planned & Held 'Chemistry for Kids' Day (or something)" more than "Member - Chemistry Club."

I also feel that A) is important because it will make doing B) a lot easier.

Good luck.

instead of always trying to see which "looks" better on your college application why don't you choose the one activity you ENJOY the most. the problem with teenagers on CC is that most of them don't activities cuz they like/enjoy it but because it looks better on the application. choose the one you like the most.
