What do i do if I cannot choose off campus housing on cal grant?

<p>Hi everyone! I am currently confused on what to do with my cal grant. I used the simulator to see what would happen if i changed my school (from UCSD to UCI) and it said i cannot be eligible for a grant if my housing is either off campus or with parents. I can get it however if I am living on campus. I am not sure if I can even get on-campus housing, so can I still accept the award as on-campus, but still live off campus ? </p>

<p>Something doesn’t quite seem right. You should still get money for living off campus, but if you live with parents your estimated COA goes way down. You can see from the chart how much costs are associated with each option.
