what do I do if I get a D first term second quarter?

My school goes by a block system. And I am taking the class AP computer Science. I got a D this last quarter and now it is the new and last term. I applied to CSUs and UCs. my GPA is pretty low 3.1 Low and 2.9 weighted. Does that mean I no longer am eligible for acceptance since i got a D in the class. What should i do all my other grades my senior year having being all Bs :(

you should just give up and go get the mcdonalds application instead.

^
He should be saying that you, Mr. 2.98 and outside the top half. :P

***. Well i guess I can just ask my counselor for advice.

I do have a 2.98 and I’m proud of it because I know that I have a life outside of school.

@Ithindu - Its not that big of a deal unless you are applying to top 20 schools, so should be fine.

D’s do matter for UCs and CSUs which is where the OP has applied. OP, it’s my understanding that you have to repeat a grade of D IF the course is one of the A-G requirements. Does this AP class you’re taking fulfill one of the A-G requirements or is it an extra course you’re taking? I think if it’s a required course it will pose a problem, and if it isn’t, than it might not be an issue. Also, some of the UCs and CSUs are very competitive and a D even in a non-A-G course might hurt your chances, whereas the less competitive ones, it might not.

Definitely check with your counselor for advice.
