I was deferred from my early action school. What should I do to help my chances of getting in regular decison?

Keep them updated throughout the rest of the school year.

Exactly. If you have a first quarter grades that they have not seen, or midyear, then send those out (hopefully they are very good). Might want to let them know how interested you are in the school.

BTW, my son did none of the above, and he was deferred EA by 2 schools. He did get admitted into both of them, and one of them actually ended up giving a sizable merit scholarship! He sent no additional information to the schools, but one of them did want his midyear or first quarter grades from senior year (don't remember which was sent out by the guidance dept.), but that was the school that offered the merit scholarship.

bump......

wow, this is some good stuff. thanks!

do the scools sent out the nonfinal grades? My d's school has progress reports every 5 weeks but they dont count as semester grades
