What do I do now?

I got accepted as ED last December, paid housing&tuition deposits and applied for CSS profile&financial aid. Are there things I can do right now for preparation? Some of my friends who got accepted to other schools as ED have housing sign-up's and what not so I was wondering ;P And when does course registration begin? Thanks in advance!

I think the housing forms come out in May? I saw that somewhere around here.

And I BELIEVE Freshmen don’t register for classes until Welcome Week in September. I’m assuming the courses will become available to browse through soon, so we can look, but we cannot touch.

You’ve probably already been on this site many times but if you want to learn more about orientation: [Office of Orientation and Parent Programs: Northwestern University](<a href=“Student Transition Experiences - Northwestern University”>Student Transition Experiences - Northwestern University)
They’ll probably be updating this for your class sometime in the near future but in the meanwhile you can look at it to get an idea of what to do before you come and what you’ll be doing during orientation.

Congratulations on your acceptance! :)

About registration, I agree with Perididdle. When I first came here, we didn’t register for classes until the week before they started, not until after we’d met with an advisor. So unless they’ve changed that, you probably won’t be allowed to register for classes for a few more months.

If you’re really that eager to get ready (and it sounds like you are), you can start looking at the different dorms, even though you won’t have to make a decision for a few more months. You get to pick your top 5 (in order), and there are dorms of all different sizes and locations, some with dining halls and some without, some with different accommodations, plus the residential colleges, some of which have themes. So start thinking about where you want to live! Personally, I took a long time to very meticulously compare the dorms, so it’s good to get an early start!

Good luck!
