What do I do?

So basically I would be an incoming freshman at a college... If I had got accepted anywhere. I applied to 5 schools, Cal Poly SLO, UCSB, UCI, UCSD, UCLA. I pretty much expected to get rejected from UCLA and UCSD because I am not that smart and I applied for reasons that aren't important. What is important is that I also got rejected from UCI and from Cal Poly SLO. I only got waitlisted at UCSB.

So basically I am not going to any college right now and I am kinda in a rut of what I should do. I sent in appeals to UCI, Cal Poly SLO, and UCSB. Knowing my luck I will be rejected so I am kinda lost with what to do.

I know that I don't want to stay at my house ( I live in the ventura area).

My sat was an 1830 and my GPA was a 3.8.

you cant do anything right now, just hope you can get into UCSB. otherwise go to CC,its easier transfer from CC to better UCs.

Unlike me, i get into UCSC and UIUC. i have to make a decision between $35000 a year for quality education or $10000 for kinda of suck education. wish get into UCSB , so not much hard decision no more

I’m so confused by UCSB too, I got financial aid and everything from them like I had been accepted. I would only have to pay 9000 a year if I went there >.<

Makes it harder if I end up not getting in cause that is such a great price.

you should have had backups’ backups! But just keep your head up and hope! So far the threads relating to SB’s waitlist is pretty good. People are saying there’s a great chance of getting everyone in on the waitlist! Try some of the CC’s like SBCC or SMCC which guarantees you admission to listed UC’s for junior year. But it is now a 3.5 for transfer to UC’s not a 3.0 anymore! :/

I’m not sure where you live but some of my friends who live in LA who want to go far far away from their parents are going to SBCC where apparently they have dorms! They have financial aid for housing and everything. check it out! :)
