I mentioned on my app that I was the founder and president of the Model UN club in 11th grade. I had transferred between 3 schools in my high school career so my counselor really didnt know too much about my achievements from my junior year (which was at a dif. school). I forgot to mention it to him and my teachers as well, so none didnt mention it in their recs. Should I get my GC to fax in a statement saying I was actually the president/founder of the club?

bump.......

i would call the cops...haha sorry i had to because of your username. yeah, sleep deprivation...anyway, i don't think you need your counselor to prove that you did that, as long as you mentioned it. if colleges want to check up on it, they will.

ok. I just dont wanna sound like im BSing and they throw away my app cuz of that.

not that your statement is wrong, sqiggle, but I need more confirmation. NSM...help!

bump..........

bumpp........

You don't have to do anything. They will believe you from what you said. Just because it only says it one place in the app doesn't raise a red flag. If you said the you founded the Model UN and then the teachers/GC said that you were apathetic, then that might raise a red flag.

Just say it and they shall believe you. If they want to check it they will. Just as long as you said "President and Founder of the UN club", and didn't accidentally omit the last word (club), they won't throw away your application away for 'BS'. Then again they might be amused by it and view you as a funny good-natured guy... And then throw away your application.
