okay, so i checked my roommate info and instead i was given this message:

"We are unable to locate a Residence Halls record for you."

did they lose my housing contract or something? i'm supposed to ahve a clark kerr triple! because it just made me realize why i haven't been billed for housing yet and why i was never emailed a confirmation on my housing contract.

i don't know how they could have lost it because i mailed the contract on time with a check for the $300, which was ALREADY CASHED by the university. there's even some number written on the cashed check by the university. and yet, i have no contract on record. what's up??

i'm going to call them on monday, but what are the chances of me getting housing 2 weeks before school? i can't get an apartment cause its too expensive...there's absolutely no way my family could pay for me.

i'm sooo mad cause it isn't even my fault that they lost my contract...uggh. any suggestions on what i should do?

Hopefully it will all work out in the end. My advice- I know it's hard, but relax and be calm for the moment, and don't worry until after you find out what happened. Being upset won't benefit you at the moment.

i don't even know what to say about cal admin anymore...

so i called housing today and i gave them my id and apparently, someone else's name is under my id. (???!!!) i don't even know how that is even possible!!! they told me that they'll call me back, but even that i don't believe anymore.

i've never been sooo frustrated. i don't know how they can mess up someone's identity with another person's!! gosh...ucla sounds so much more appealing right now.

I'm really sorry to hear about the mistaken identity because that has happened to me before. The thing is, they confused me with someone who had the exact same name FIRST and LAST as me, but the thing was, this kid was like 3 years younger than me, so I was really frustrated as well, so thats why from now on, when Im applying to important things, in this case for you, school related, I use my middle name with everything. I hope everything gets cleared up for you because you do have that check to trace back to and SSN# and bank account#, so I dont think you have to worry so much, but yea, as someone said before, apartments in berkeley are fairly cheaper than dorms if you do have roommates, but good luck and dont worry, everything will be fine in the end.
