I got accepted in November, and I was just wondering how high I have to keep my grades. Is straight B's good enough? Becuase, you know, it feels realllly good to slack off.

yeah you're fine

As long as you stay well above the 3.0 range, you will be fine. But do not dip into the 2s!

what do u mean, well above the 3.0 range?
if i'm around.. 3.1~3.4, will i be ok?
i used to have a 3.9ish, weighted, but i'm sure it's going to drop after this semester because.. i might get two C's, and the rest b's...
but one of the c's is in an ap class..

Yes, a 3.1+ is fine. Don't let that number start with a 2.

thanks a lot alexandre...

i'm just wondering, how do you know all of this stuff?
i can definitely trust you, when you say that a 3.1+ is fine, right?
and i can definitely trust you when you say it's okay to have..
two C's, possibly, and mostly B's and maybe one A for my first semester of senior year, right? (i know you haven't said that that part is ok, but.. i'm just making sure)

i'm getting sort of worried about revoking admissions

"i'm getting sort of worried about revoking admissions"

Then why don't you simply do better? Did used to get good grades just to get accepted into college?

Michigan rarely revokes...but they can put Freshman on probation upon entry if they GPA dipped below a certain level. A 3.2 or 3.3 GPA will not hurt you. But if you finish your senior year with a GPA under 3.0, you could be placed on probation. Why take the risk. You have a final semester. Take relatively easy classes and keep your grades decent.

So I just have to keep my overall GPA above a 3.0? Does my semester GPA matter?

oh man, i am not trying to be a butt, but this kinda question is just sad.

to me this semester's is packed with the most demanding courses i've ever taken.
i think it's good for me to got good scores on AP exams so i can have a sophomore-standing.
and it's definitely a must to be fully challenged now, so that i dont have to be "***" when i enter my college this fall..

(well. i think i had already experienced enough SLACKINGs already during 9th and 10th grades .. :P)

alexandre, im just wondering, what happens when you are on probation?

do we have to send in senior year grades? they didn't say so in the letter

If you are put on probation, you are given a warning and it is permanently entered in your record. It does not look good when you apply to graduate school.
