Hello all!
I’m currently a rising Junior at a competitive public high school in Connecticut. This is less so a “chance me” and more so a theoretical “what do I need” based on my current stats (or lack thereof). I have not taken the SAT yet (though I plan to take a self-paced prep course over the summer, and a in-person course in the Fall. As you probably know, Class of 2017 is the wacky year getting half old/half new SATs.), so any target scores would be appreciated. All indicated (11) are for positions I’ve been elected for the 2015-2016 school year. If you could tell me how I look currently as an applicant/what I need to do in my next two years of high school to stand out, that would be ideal. I’d also appreciate any other college recs; Barnard is my dream (I feel my supplements would be great, I’m passionate about attending a women’s college, and I intend to show a strong interest via interview, visit, and perhaps Early Decision depending on Financial Aid), but I’d keep an open mind to any other thoughts as to where I would fit, though urban campuses would be lovely.

Thank you so much for looking at my high school experience thus far condensed to a small screen. Some notes before you pass any judgement/admonish my desperate need for validation/(hopefully) pass along some suggestions and advice:
-I truly devote my time and energy to all my ECs. I promise I’m not some resume-building junkie, they’re what keep me sane! Hopefully my positions in the organizations show that.
-Feel free to cut me down and tell me I won’t get in to Barnard (I need brutal honesty, and no, not false modesty), but some other recs would be nice
-Overall I’d like to hear about the SAT scores I will need and other credentials I need to expand on (i.e. honors and awards, paid work, etc.)
Again, thank you and happy college-searching to all!
