<p>Hi, I'm a current student in my first semester at Santa Monica Community College. I was wondering how possible it would be to transfer out by the end of the school year to a good university if I managed to get a 4.0 with around 35-40 units completed, around 100 community service hours, a possible internship, and a job? I would love any help, and my top ten choices (in no order but NYU is my number one) for college transfers are NYU, Emerson college, Michigan State, University of Texas at Austin, Chapman University, Boston University, Florida State University, Syracuse University, University of Michigan, and Northwestern University. I am undecided on my major but am looking towards communication/media studies, or possibly even something with film but I know how competitive that can be. Thanks!</p>
<p>Film is extraordinarily competitive. You probably don’t even need a 4.0 to transfer… just keep your UW above a 3.5.</p>
