What do I need to do in order to have the following federal loans pay up?

My financial aid offer letter states I am eligible for the following loans:
FED.DIR.LOAN-SUB1
FEDERAL PERKINS LOAN
The website says I need to do some kind of Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note. Which one is it for? Could someone clarify for me?
Also, for any financial aid labeled as grant or university scholarship, do I need to do anything to have it pay up?

You need to contact your school’s financial aid office and ask them what you need to do. At some schools, you don’t do the Entrance Counseling until you get to school. At others, maybe you do it on line over the summer.

What is necessary for the school’s scholarships or grants varies from school to school.

From your other posts, it looks like you are going to Berkeley. Here is the website you need to go to:

[Financial Aid Home](http://students.berkeley.edu/fao/)

Hit the link for Perkins loans & follow the instructions. You will also need to hit the link for direct loans & follow those instructions … the entrance counseling & MPN are done online. If your award letter doesn’t give you any instructions on grants/scholarships, call or email the office to make sure you don’t have to do anything to get those. You don’t want to miss out on anything!

Thank you so much!!!

You’re welcome. Have fun at school!
