I've been trying really hard, but I don't really want to talk about myself right now, could you guys just list some things that I need to get into Harvard?

What kind of GPA?
What kind of SAT score?
What kind of extra-curriculars?
etc

You need a 4.0 unweighted, 2400 SAT score, AMAZING extracurriculars, pixi dust, and a prayer.

Honestly, I suggest being on top of your schoolwork, join activities that interest you, find leadership and volunteer opportunities, and just be an amazing person. By that I mean show passion and drive. Find a goal (that isn’t getting into Harvard) and work towards it. I know a girl who got into Harvard and she is just a great person. Fantastic grades and test scores, really passionate, and just an overall nice human being to be around. But, in my opinion, Harvard is such a bad dream school. But that’s another discussion.

Be a person and not a robot. They want to see more than just numbers on a page.

Instead of locking yourself in your room with textbooks to get a perfect gpa and perfect test scores, go out there and do interesting things that will make you stand out over the other thousands of applicants with perfect grades and scores. If you can’t do both then maybe you aren’t Harvard material.

You need to cure cancer, climb Mount Everest, win a gold medal at the Olympics, be a triple legacy, and get a personal letter of rec from the Queen of England.

Just kidding. Harvard accepts a diverse range of kids with unusual interests, from what I’ve heard. Just be super involved and whatever you do, do it exceptionally well.

Besides stellar numbers, great E.C.s and well written essays the rest of your admission to Harvard depends on luck.
However, the real question here is why do you want to go to Harvard? Because depending on your major, other schools may be more better suited for your field of choice.
