They most certainly are.

They most certainly are.

If that doesn’t work you could always get a personalized letter of recommendation from Gandhi.

Just a LoR from Gandhi isn’t good enough for Harvard. In order to get into Harvard you need a stellar(Not just any!) LoR from George Washington, Sigmund Freud, Julius Caesar, Isaac Newton, Walt Disney, Genghis Khan, Frederick the Great, Socrates, Leonardo da Vinci, Suleiman the Magnificent, Jesus, Hammurabi of Babylon, Mark Twain, Queen Victoria, Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Albert Einstein. Any less will surely get you wait-listed, or even denied!

And Jesus. ^

It is easy to get into Harvard: just be a great quarterback (State championship caliber) or a great lacrosse player. Get decent grades (3.7 gpa) and a decent SAT (2000+) and you pretty much are competitive. The dirty secret of the Ivies is that they LOVE athletes (Yale is the exception).

Iluvbooks94 gave you the best advice you’ll ever see on this board.

Mapletree it doesn’t look like you know much about the college admissions process, consider 2400s and 36s get rejected routinely

@SpaceDuck

I knew I was going to get flamed. Did I ever tell you which tests you needed to get a perfect score on?

listen to iluvbooks OP.

@mapletree7 there is no test where you can get a perfect score that will guarentee admittance

Really? What about the USAMO? or the IMO? If you scored a 42 on the USAMO you probably would be recruited by Harvard (i.e. you wouldn’t have to apply).

To get into Harvard, you need to get a LoR from Dalai Lama.

Be decently intelligent, and have your parents donate a couple hundred million dollars.

I’ve said this before, but if my parents had a couple hundred million dollars to throw away I’d just take that money and run and not worry about college.

You should look at the Harvard Results thread. It would help you a lot to see what the accepted students had in common and what kinds of test scores and etc they had.

Okay, thanks guys! (ignoring the rude comments). I actually do do some unusual things, along with many other extra curriculars. I wasn’t aware that they looked at my unweighted GPA, so I’ll need to get that up.

Oh, if only getting into Harvard was that simple that I could simply make a list for you to follow to be guaranteed admission. Though I can try:

Score a 2500 on the SAT

Get 810’s on each SAT 2

Tip off Julius Caesar about the conspiracy.

Prevent the Black Hand from assassinating Archduke Ferdinand.

Kill Hitler

Assassinate Henry Howard Holmes.

Save Guy Fawkes.

Lead a rebellion in Syria.

Defeat Microsoft.

Commit suicide without dying.

Don’t do a push-up, push the world down.

…Or of course, you could just follow your heart and do what you love, and let Harvard decide whether it wants you. Your call.

^haha! You left out preventing the Bubonic Plague from ever happening and making sure Japan didn’t bomb Pearl Harbor.

OP: Impossible to say, you just never know who will get into the school. Legend has it that it is possible to be accepted though, iluvbooks is living, walking proof.

Follow all the advice given here and on the Harvard threads. Then realize you will be evaluated among many equals. If you don’t get it, it’s not anything against you. There just isn’t room to accept all who are qualified.

Keep your quest for Harvard in perspective. If you make it your only goal in life, the fall from getting rejected will be much harder and it will take you lots longer to pick yourself back up.
All the best.

I hate to say this, but if you’re asking the internet how you can get into Harvard, you probably won’t get into Harvard.

It’s a bit like asking… “What do I need to do to become valedictorian?” Chances are- if you have to ask- you’re a lost cause.

Exceptional people don’t ask how; they just do it.

Get off the computer and start self-studying every AP course 24/7

Nothing. Harvard accepts all applicants…bump
