What Do I need to do?

I want to know what I need to do to transfer into these colleges Junior year.? Do they give good aid to transfers? I'll probably still have an EFC of zero when I apply. Is it easier to put Economics on my Application and then apply to get into the school of engineering when I'm there?

I have a 3.02 GPA at Uconn I want a degree in Engineering/Economics I'll go into one if the other requires more work. I'm already looking at spending at 5 years at Uconn regardless due to the dual degree and the fact that I'm garbage at Chem and Gen Eds.

UMiami
UMaryland

These are my reaches and the ones I'm worried about, I assume if I'm good enough for these then I'm good enough for the others on my list.

No advice anybody could give? If you want to know I’m honestly bored of Conn its just where I pictured myself in college.

I’m going to be honest, your 3.02 GPA is going to be really hard to work with…

Well how should I present myself? Should I rely on being an inner city youth who came from bad schooling and transered to an avegare school too late? Or should I just be myself and tell them that Engineering is the main reason my GPA isn’t the best the charts seeing that I had to replace a D in calc and wasted time in Chem only to recieve a bad mark.

Neither of those schools meets full need, and as an OOS student at Maryland, you’ll likely get no aid at all. Very few schools give good aid to transfer students.

UConn is not an “average” school, either.

UConn is a good school. If you don’t get good financial aid at either of your transfer schools, I would say to just stay there.

@polarscribe: I was talking about my HS when I meant average school, I know UCONN’s good but it wasn’t what I was expecting but I have one year more to make the best of it but hopefully I transfer.
