What do I need to get into Wellesley College?

Okay so Im going to be a Sophmore in High School and my counselor introduced me to Wellesley College and I fell in love. Since im only into my second year of High School I just would like to know what I need to do to help my chances. Here are a few of the things I've done so far:
Freshman year classes:
Honors Biology
Honors Geometry
Honors World History
Honors English
Spanish 2
Concert Band on Clarinet
Marching Band

My marching band will be marching in the 2010 Rose Parade, I also play Classical Guitar and piano.

This summer I volunteered for two weeks, 40 hours with a school program for children of gang parents and volunteered at my local library. I wanted to start volunteering at City of Hope hospital but that has to wait till next summer for transportation reasons. Also next summer i will be traveling to Guatemala to volunteer for 9 days.

Next year i plan on taking AP chemistry, AP euro, Honors Algebra II, Honors English, Spanish 3, Wind Ensemble (our advanced band), and marching band and will be starting my own club called Hunger Awareness. With this club we will be raising money to help feed children in 3rd world countries. I was also given the position of project manager for ALS club, in which i will be organizing fundraisers to raise money for Lou Gehrig's disease research.

What else should i do in high school to help my chances?....oh and i have an unweighted gpa of 4.0

Keep doing what you’re doing. Keep the GPA up, take the hardest classes, have passion about your ECs.

Honestly Wellesley College isn’t that hard to get into. Just don’t let your GPA drop too much and get good SAT scores.

two in the shirt.

I visited Wellesley! BEAUTIFUL campus and great alums!

It isn’t too hard to get in though. You sound like a good student so just (like Erin said) keep the grades up,courseload as difficult as you can handle, and get some good scores (i’d say 29+ on ACT or 1900+ on SAT) you’re in.

Good luck!

Wellesley is great! Focus on making yourself personable in your essays and show real interest. They love it when people visit or interview, and yes, they do keep track of these things, especially the interview.

Wellesley is a little harder to get into than some of these posters are stating. Based on the latest posted CDS, a 1900/29 will put you at the 25% of students accepted (and only 35% of the applicants are accepted). That is too low (and I think the scores have probably gone up since then). But my earlier recommendations still hold.
