What do i need to know?

I'm a hs senior and already planning to transfer after my first year of college.

i can not get into any of my dream schools due to family issues that killed my GPA. So, what do i need to know about this process?

Is it possible with a low HS to transfer into a TOP school? I have about a 90% average grade for the first three years of hs and only a handful of honors classes(Puts me at top 30% of my class) . senior year will be for the most part all AP, and i plan to get incredible grades.

should i take hard classes in college or go for easier A's?

does it matter what college i am transferring from? If i am going to transfer i might just skip this college app stuff and go straight to rutgers for freshmen year. I'd focus on my senior year GPA, AP tests and SAT scores. Good idea? too risky? would i be better off going to a school as competitive as i can get into?

If i want to transfer into uchicago will i run into any problems with their strict core?

any tips advice etc?

thanks!

if u havent taken the SAT yet and u have no idea about ure senior year, i have no reason to believe u should give up on ure dream schools...

study hard for the sat, get a high score...get good grades in ure classes and solid scores on ure aps and u have a shot almost anywhere.

but if u wana transfer, just go ahead and go to rutgers if its your state school. Take a tough curriculum but remember that grades are most important (aka put a few bird courses in there).
