What do i write on a personal statement

<p>I really have NO CLUE about what to write on a personal statement. I dont know if it will seem pompous if i said "i like... blah blah" or "i want to go here because of this and i am a hard worker".</p>

<p>I like airplanes and math, i play some guitar, and im part japanese. Those are the only real unique things about me i guess..... I did go on a highschool trip at the end of senior year to some underdeveloped island in the bahamas to help children etc....but i dont know if i can write about that. </p>

<p>Does anyone have any advice?</p>
