I recently applied for transfer from a CC to a couple of 4 year colleges for Fall 2012 and I am a little worried about if I get rejected from all of them.
I applied to UCR, UCI, UCSB, UCSD
Also some CSU, Fullerton, Long Beach

So here's what I have.
I have been in a CC for 2 years (4 semesters).
-Met the Igetc requirements.
-Met the General Education requirements
-Have a total of 62 transferable units.
-No Withdrawal or D's,F's
-Currently have a 3.1 GPA
-Did not apply for TAG
-Recently rejected from Chapman University for Spring 2012

Does anyone know what to do if "None" of the colleges accept my transfer?
My thoughts: I would be wasting another year doing nothing and wait till the next application session opens.
Grrr... I'm really worried.

imo you’re 99.9% to get into at least one of those schools, especially a cal-state school with your info.

it would be a freak situation for you to be denied everywhere. HOWEVER, if this happens…you could petition universities to review your profile again, UC’s will blow you off but i know transfers who have hassled cal state enough to let them in.

or, just wait till fall 2013. or join the army.

Not all CSUs will take a 3.1 GPA transfer student in all majors.

For example, a 3.1 GPA was not sufficient to get into San Jose State in Art Animation, Art Design Studies, English, or Global Studies majors for fall 2011, and in many majors for spring 2012:

Unless you live and go to school in the city of Long Beach, CSULB is ridiculously hard to get into right now. I happen to live nearby (not in Long Beach) and didn’t even bother filling out an application for transfer next fall. Sadly because of the CSU austerity measures, my chances of getting into UCLA are probably equal to that of acceptance at Long Beach.

Minimum GPA for community college junior transfer applicants is 2.4 for California residents, 2.8 for non-residents. Whether UCR would accept a California resident community college junior transfer applicant with a 2.5 is up to them.
