<p>How about if you get accepted into your main major. Do you get a chance to select your alternative major?</p>
<p>I don’t think you get to choose your alternative if you get accepted with your first. I was told by a UC rep that every UC is different some only look at your alternative if you are TAP certified through them.</p>
<p>So you are saying that if i hypothetically get rejected for my priority major, they will not even look at my alternative?</p>
<p>Some UCs might since they are all different but I think UCLA won’t unless your TAP certified, thats what a UCLA rep told me</p>
