wat college do u run, North?

As I said, NSTM, I could fill a book. The latest was when I was at Michigan with my son. We were not in the hallway very long as we were able to get his auditions done quickly in order to make it to another city. S was wearing his letter jacket as was a couple of other kids. Someone recognized the school, and asked S if he knew a student there. "Sure", he answered. "Yeah, he plays football too", was the reply. My son was a bit stunned, and said "I don't think so." The student said, "He said he's captain." My son pointed to his captain's pin on his letter and said, "I don't think so. I'm captain." Lies can have short legs even at huge universities like that!

And you are so right about the very high verbal scores that many foreign students and kids who have English as a second language get. I doubt there is leeway given from that one question. I believe it is there to provide info in conjunction to other things on the app. Many of the questions have no impact as to how a student answers except in light of other things in the app. Kids don't seem to get that.

To the OP: (I cannot bring myself to address any stranger by the name you have chosen to give yourself here). There is no need to be rude to Northstarmom, particularly as she is extremely well informed and trying to help you see an ethical problem that you are creating for yourself but apparently cannot see. This whole problem should be a non-issue. It sounds like a very simple error and should be treated as one. I wouldn't give it two seconds' thought after I sent the e-mail requesting that it be corrected. If you do leave it as it is, however, you start the whole string of problems associated with trying to remember what "errors" of fact you have left behind you any time you do such things.

Just do the simple thing and accept what these well informed, kind and honest people have told you. They really do have your best interests at heart. I think you know that or you wouldn't have asked the questions here.
