I am qualified for Federal Perkins Loan and Subsidized Federal Stafford Loan. Do I need to do anything to actually "get" them? Like sign an agreement or do some paper work with USC? I am so confused about Loans right now, USC still hasn't tell me what to do if I need loans for the college. Do they only talk about how to get loans at Orientation? And where can I find out what to do if I need more Loans?

Any information about applying/getting loans will be greatly appreciated.

I would say definitely contact USC and talk to them about this. I do know that when you move in, they will set up booths concerning financial aid, loans, USC Credit Union, etc, in the Lyon Center on campus. My dad and I usually go after moving me in, and fill out any necessary paperwork (like for loans).

I spoke to the financial guy at Orientation and he said I didn't have to worry about anything except choosing a lender for my Subsidized Federal Stafford Loan. It was pretty easy, just follow the directions on this page.

Have you received your "Statement of Financial Aid Eligibility" yet? There is a small section on the front middle that your complete in order to complete the Stafford loan. Yes, it's very simple. All you do is select a lender.

Sorry, I don't know how the Perkins loans works. Contact the financial aid office. They will reply w/in 24-48 hrs if you email fao@usc.edu. Otherwise you can call (213)740-1111, choose financial aid, and you'll be able to speak with a FA counsellor about your situation.
