I bring 2-3 books to class (in addition to everything else everyone listed) - usually the ones assigned for other classes and one of my own. Like right now I'm carrying around Communist Manifest for Euro.... Importance of being Earnest for Lit... Naked Economics for Econ... and A Clockwork Orange for me! What book I read really depends on my mood so I always make sure to have either 2 or 3

let's see.
pencil or pen(occasionally. sometimes i borrow)
paper(maybe)
textbook for physics
that's it

backpacks, phones, and food are banned at my school. Bleagh.
I bring either what is due right after the current class or was just assigned in the previous one. Why bother paying attention when there is so little actually being taught?

BACKPACKS are banned??? FOOD???? what kind of tyrannical society is that, redbricks? But seriously, what if you don't want to buy school lunch, and what if you don't want to go to your locker after every single class? About 70% of the student body (mostly freshman though) carries 3-4 classes worth of stuff in their backpack to every class and stops by their locker only 2-3 times a day. I feel like the sole anomaly (no backpack except to and fro from school) but I convince myself that all my friends are geeks except me and I am their social savior, lol.

lol...I worded that badly. We are allowed to carry books in from our cars and out in backpacks, but they are not allowed in classes, between classes, or anywhere else visibly during school hours. We have this nazi teacher who scourges the halls for loose backpacks and confiscates them and you have to pay 50 cents to get them back. It's weird. Also, we can bring food for lunch and break, just not any other times such as during class. But yeah...it stinks.

I bring my intelligence
my humor
my ditziness
the joy of having me in class =)

dude, is this thread seriously what school supplies you bring to class? you've got to be kidding me.

Hahaha...just because I'm bored...

-Pencil case with markers, pens, pencils and a pen drive
- textbooks
- English books
- Verb sheets if I'm going to french
- graphic calculator in case
- binders
- cell phone
- iPod
- sometimes I bring my camera ( I keep my valuables with me because if I didn't they'd be gone in about five seconds)
- a few extra bucks for whatever
- class schedule in a folder with extra notebook paper
- script
- planner

^ 'tis the usual...

chocolate....lots and lotsa chocolate ---- keeps me awake

yay for chocolate :p

I'm bored so...

My giant boho bag contains:
my awesome cell, which triples as my MP3 player and camera
several packs of gum/toothfloss/a mirror (I'm obsessed with clean teeth)
my leather pencil case full of lip glosses and pens (I HATE pencils)
my car keys
two agendas/planners
wallet
post-its (my lifesaver!)

And the only things in my backpack (one of my fave possessions ever) are:
a single 1-inch binder for all classes/clubs (I hate carrying a lot of books)
a novel or two

plus, a can of diet Coke

I'm lazy, so I have a system of keeping my textbooks and giant binders places so that I don't have to lug them around. I have a common locker and a studio locker... in addition to lots of people who agree to keeping my textbooks for me until I need them.

Books for calculus, chemistry, and Spanish
A calculator
A binder with two notebooks, four pencils, and five separated sheets of paper along with any homework
(All the above is inside my pack)

For the first 4 periods of the day, I bring a one subject nb and a pen. For the last 3 periods, I bring a 1" binder and a pen. Some days I carry a physics book to read, but it is not the class text.
And my cell phone is clipped on at my waist, even though they are banned, no one has ever questioned me, because most people think Ive either graduated, or I work there.

Myself and homework. Not the complete inventory of Staples.

2 pens, one black or blue and another one red
bright highlighter
pencil (no sharpener though)
scientific calc.
graph. calc.
acordeon-like folder ( its the best thing ever)
ipod
cellphone
planner
food
lunch money
candy

yeah our school is like redbrick's . . no food or bookbags or cells allowed during school, must be kept in your locker.

but i still carry around candy and mints/gum .. it's nice to suck or chew on something when you have nothing else to do

and i bring the necessary textbook if needed

and its corresponding binder, and planner when i remember

and the classes are kinda far apart so i dont have much time to bring a lot, so everythign's in my purse (highlighters, pencils, pens, gum, TI-89 titanium, mp3 player, cell, bunch of other stuff)

original topic idea though :)

Our school is pretty strict though, if you're caught with a cell phone or mp3 player, it's confiscated immediately and your parents have to come get it. And if you're caught with like a drink in the hallway, and if the principal saw you, he'd literally take it out of your hand and throw it away in the nearest trashcan.
school sucks.

Mine is like redbrick's too... No water or food unless medical condition (ie, diabetes), no bookbags, no hats, etc. No cell phones, CD players, video game things, or iPods. Curiously enough, however, people can walk around in slippers and take blankets to class, and laptops aren't disallowed either, though only one person in the entire school uses one. Personally, I bring...
--binder for class
--spiral notebook for history notes and drawings and shorts bits of writing
--textbook(s)
--required agenda / passbook
--little pouch thing with silvery see-through graphing calculator, my 'urban compass'-- you know, those plastic protractor/ruler/compasses--, many mechanical pencils, several pens, a few lumograph markers, a tin of lip balm, a vinyl eraser, and two zipper pull things (one I<3NY, the other a sandal, both with my name on them)
--more lip balm

I am so jealous of you all... water, in class. I am also so bored.

Yeah seriously, a lot of your all's schools are pretty lax . . a girl's cell phone rang in the hallway once and the vice principal opened her locker, looked through her purse, got it out and took it, and didnt tell her till like 2 days later. she was so worried it was stolen. i mean can you believe that ?? there's gotta be some rule against rummaging thru personal property like that. .

I carry my entire backpack containing 6 binders, my spanish reader, my agenda book, my calculator, and pens + pencils, which comes out to be 20-30 lbs.

Why? Mostly because I absolutely hate going to my locker (because the lock refuses to cooperate most of the time).

My heavy @ss backpack, i dont even know what i got in it anymore. Time for a clean out, still fileld with last semester papers.

a pillow and a mattress

a pen, lol.. and paper if i remember..
and when i have english, the book we're reading..
but usually, just a pen.. :
