What do you college students dress like usually to classes/around the campus?

I'm looking more for answers from guys. And I've heard from someone I know who's in college that he usually just wears like a college sweatshirt or t-shirt, and wears things multiple times without washing them. Are clothes not as important in college as they are in high school?

They were important in high school?

You can wear pretty much anything. You’ll have people wearing sweatshirts and sweatpants, t-shirts and jeans, button-downs tucked into shorts, anything. Nobody really cares.

People just wear basic clothes for the most part…t-shirts, jeans, shorts, sweatshirts, etc. Coats and jackets when it’s cold. Regular shoes. It’s not a big deal.

who says clothes were important in high school? you can pretty much where t-shirts, jeans a good pair of sneakers. Although there are some people(girls in particular) that overdress but wear whatever makes you comfortable.

^ Well there is a dress code in HS. Not so in college.

I personally wear a transparent bikini on mondays-wednesdays, a toga(with nothing underneath) Thursdays-Saturdays, and on Sunday I dress up like Jesus.

To be honest, just be yourself. Unless you have to dress for a formal dinner or something then you can’t be yourself. If your more comfortable with sweats and a sweatshirt, then do it. It ain’t no fashion contest but some people have expectations for themselves or others.

You are how you dress.

" ^ Well there is a dress code in HS. Not so in college. "

not really

^ Your college has a dress code??

i think he meant there is no dress code in hs either

^^^Ding ding ding

I mean, we had a dress code… but it was basically “don’t wear super tiny miniskirts or see-through shirts.” This was an elite private school too… trust me the girls got to wear plenty of sexy clothing without violating the dress code.

^ Interesting. In all the public schools I’ve been too (quite a few) you are not allowed to wear clothing with holes, shirts without sleeves, or shorts/skirts of less than a certian length.

Wear whatever you want honestly. Nobody cares.
At my highschool it was basically don’t wear short shorts/dresses/skirts, severely low cut tops, tank top straps had to be 2 fingers wide.

Eh, the public schools around here were pretty lax. Lots of “pants-on-the-ground” fashion.

I wish there was a pants on the ground dress code at my high school…

No idea why you’d dress like that. It’s associated with “thug” culture which is associated with crime… but those pants make it harder to escape from the police once you’ve robbed a bank or whatever. And they kill:

Talk about LOOKIN LIKE A FOOL WIT YO PANTS ON THE GROUND

I meant a dress code saying you can’t wear your pants on the ground. xD
I don’t want to see no “draws”

I know, I was saying I don’t know why people in general (sort of the ‘everyone you’, not the ‘personal you’) would dress like that.

Oh. Apparently they don’t want to walk correctly and like having to hold their pants up…But man was it funny watching them run.
And that guy failed hard…literally.
