<p>so ive noticed that dorm rooms are pretty blan.
what are some of the things you decorate your room with to make it...well...more becoming.</p>

<p>Let's see... I had a few posters in my room that I bought at a poster sale during the first week of school. That seemed to work well. That also seemed to be the general idea among the guys on my hall regarding walls. I also bought a lamp because the lights in our dorm rooms were insanely dim. I got one of those cool lamps with 5 bulbs on movable necks. Aside from that, I found that my comforter and the pillows on my bed made my side of the room look nice. It's really up to what you deem as "becoming" and what you want your space to look like.</p>
<p>I don't know if you'd like this...but some people I know put old road signs (like the stop sign or yield sign) or old hubcaps on the walls...</p>
<p>i was actually thinking of something similar, i was gonna go steal the street sign with my college name on it and hang it on the wall...i thought that would be cool :p</p>
<p>sweeeet...that is until campus security catches you with it! ^_^ you know...you could also put neon lamps (like the ones you see in bars but not the ones with the beer logos...i've seen some cool ones like footballs, palm trees, flamingos...eh, whatever you can find!) Oh yeah...where are you going? If you can find a neon sign with the mascot of your school (if it's a mascot you like) that would be pretty neat!</p>

<p>Every year I ask my friends and family to send me postcards and I pick them up whenever I travel somewhere (even if that place is "boring"...). I put them up on a wall in my room so by the end of the year it's covered with cards from five continents usually. Plus it means I get mail during the year! :)</p>
<p>I cover my wall with pictures of females.. celebs and whatnot.. and no im not a perv or anything. I do have a gf.. I just like to have my women looking over and protecting me...</p>
<p>One of my friends cut up an A&F paper bag and put the pictures on his wall. As strange as this sounds, we couldn't tell if one of the pictures was a guy or a girl... it served as a conversation starter quite a few times.</p>
<p>Posters, pictures of family, friends, etc. My best friend is making me a poster sized collage, which will be my decorating centerpiece!</p>
<p>My walls were pretty much bare save for an American flag. Can't go wrong with a flag.</p>
<p>look around allposters.com or art.com and just look through for things you like, and get a lot. They make rooms so much more interesting and add color to a room. If you get a lot of smaller ones too, you can arrange them in neat ways (like alternating between vertical and horizontal, or w/e) which makes the walls more interesting too.</p>

<p>I think a campus map would be a useful thing to have on the wall.</p>
<p>I had a handful of photos I'd taken blown up to 24x30 prints. It's fun because they're conversation starters and also remind me of home.</p>

<p>I use old ablum covers for picture frames. I cut the picture into the album and than place the album in a frame under glass. it looks cool, believe me.</p>
<p>i'm making a collage of photos of me and my friends...
i also really want a lava lamp, if i can find one that isn't too expensive. don't ask why...i've always really wanted one.</p>
<p>I'm planning on making a black and white photograph collage thing, thanks to a great idea from a friend. I haven't quite decided on the theme though.</p>
<p>if you have alot of wall space (i.e. not lofted beds); you can rasterbate.</p>
