What do you do when you get deferred?

<p>This isn't just for me (although it's important to me too), but what are you supposed to do when you get deferred? By that I don't mean "Are you supposed to give up on life and lock yourself in your room until Groundhog's Day?" I mean what does "Deferral Reversal" mean? More recs? I have two that I may send in that are really really good. Could you update your awards/honors/activities? I have a couple things to add....</p>

<p>Also, how long do you have? I may be published in January (well, notified of it, and actually published in May or somehting), so that would help a LOT, but the notification could come all the way up to the end of Jan. Is that too late?</p>

<p>some people send in more things (letters, recs, recent achievements & honors, etc). basically, if you<code>re deferred, just don</code>t sit there and let it pass, because there`s always that chance of acceptance after deferral.</p>
