<p>You pay your deposit to a school you got into by May 1st (deadline), but are still waiting to hear back from waitlisted schools. Say that you got into one of your waitlist schools and plan to go there. I know that you will lose your deposit because it is non-refundable, but how do you go about telling the school you sent your deposit to that you don't want to go there anymore?</p>

<p>You are suppose to send them a formal letter stating that you will not be attending.</p>
