<p>Well, just because it’s “socially constructed” doesn’t mean it’s bad. Regionalization is one of the themes of the study of human geography, and having a degree in “Asian Cultural Studies” is certainly meaningful.</p>
<p>If we’re looking at it from a perspective of cultural geography, I’d say Asian would include South Asians and Indians, because there’s enough cultural similarities to argue that we can make a cultural region there that’s distinct from other cultural regions. (I’m Filipino, btw).</p>
