Hey I was wondering what you guys do when you get home in terms of school. After you do your homework what do you guys do? Do you study, review notes, study for upcoming SATs or AP exams? What are some of your habits as I'm trying to become a better student academically. What would you guys recommend for me as an athlete (sophomore) that gets home at 7 P.M. everyday and has the following course load:
Honors English IV
Science Research II
Honors Latin II
AP World History
Honors Trigonometry
Honors Spanish VI
Honors Chemistry
Advanced Topics in Science
Team Gym (free period before practice)

I dunno, I have senioritis.

…I haven’t done homework at home since October. I do homework assignments in homeroom - after which I have class. So that’s what I do after my homework - I go to first period.

I’m kind of mad that my brain doesn’t work like that anymore. I can’t think that fast. My high school didn’t have homeroom, though.

Honestly, that sounds like doing homework after doing homework. I think you have to relax and unwind after doing homework by doing something you enjoy.

well I usually finish at like 12 so sleep

@preamble1776 how long is your homeroom Oo

@foolish - Well, my homeroom teacher shows up to school at like 5 - so if I get there at 6am (which I usually do) homeroom is 2 hours - granted, if I went at the official homeroom time, I’d only have 15 minutes, but yeah.

Sleep.

lol I love sleep myself but i’d love to raise my average in my classes as well.

eat KFC

@DaneBrick Just no. I like to play chess to challenge my mind or just watch TV or Netflix.

Sleep.

Homework… At home? Pshhhh… I’ve only done that twice ALL year (and no more than 15 minutes each time!). Since I finish my HW at school during class or at lunch, I have all the free time in the world to: STUDY RANDOM CRAP!
ECs and AP-studying take up the bulk of my free time.

How do you guys manage to do your homework during lunch O_O

@adiallo98: I usually go to the library during lunch to do my homework, but if it’s closed, I usually go into my Bio teacher’s room and work silently in the back. Most of the time, I just end up skipping lunch, which I know isn’t healthy, but I still do anyway.

My only problem with skipping lunch is i’ll be at track practice for two hours on an empty stomach unless I pack lunch

@adiallo98 How long is your lunch? If its anything longer than 25-30 minutes, you should have the remainder left over. Our lunch period is about 50 minutes long, and I get there as fast as I can. I end up with a good 30-35 minutes if I eat quickly. Many times I’ll go the library (especially last semester when the people I sat with at lunch were really noisy).

My lunch period is 41 minutes long that leaves me with about 30 minutes to do work + 40 minutes to do work during my free one period after lunch

What do you mean AFTER homework? Homework is the thing I do last in the day
