What do you guys do after your homework?

@adiallo98 You have 70 minutes. 70 MINUTES! That’s more than an hour! Unless you have a ridiculously difficult schedule/school, you should be able to knock off a majority of your HW if you’re productive in using your time.

The problem is that it’s lunch. No one does anything during lunch

LOL so most of you guys don’t study or anything after homework is completed?

Nope, I usually finish homework between 11:00 and midnight, so I just go to bed immediately afterwards.

o.o well then how do you guys recommend I get a 94+ in every class

@adiallo98 I study. Although I’m not most of “us guys”. I study non-school things, since exact grades don’t matter at my school (i.e. 91 = 100 = A).

Grades are mostly homework so you could get a 94+ in every class by doing well in the homework. I only study when a test is near. 2~3 days in advance is enough for me. AP tests were different though, I reviewed them earlier.

Haha in my school homework counts for nothing 100% of your grade is your test average

My APEcon class is 100% tests, which is AWESOME because it means NO HW!!! (the tests are easy enough that I have an A without studying so far)

It puts people at a disadvantage as well if you get one B or B+

Wow. I’ve never heard of a class let alone an entire school that has only tests count in grades. I probably wouldn’t do any of the homework. As for studying for tests, I don’t think I would change anything.

What are your study methods if you don’t mind me asking

My god, I would LOVE a school where HW did not count. Teachers throw so many pointless assignments at us just to make it look like we have work (i.e. we can’t be the only ones who get coloring worksheets every other day in chemistry HONORS).

@adiallo98 Earphones in one ear, desk in front of me, hopefully not get distracted for an hour straight. Right now, I really should be studying…

I don’t really have a particular method. I read the important parts of the textbook. I make flash cards. Flash cards are very time consuming though. I might find some practice problems if there are any. I also listen to music but without earphones. Homework is how I do most of my studying though. I hope that the homework I’m doing helps me learn.

@dextrous
what kind of bs classes have that
The lowest tests are worth in a class for me is 70%

Most classes say tests are 80% but most teachers don’t count the other 20% in my school

I’m taking a class with no homework. I’ve discovered that homework is the only way I can motivate myself to learn anything.

I have a college class where homework is worth 10% and tests are worth 90%. In most of my classes, 50% of the grade is from tests (including finals) but the final doesn’t take effect until the very end of the semester. So I suppose homework isn’t exactly the majority of the grade but it is for most of the semester. I’m also counting labs and sections that have both in class work and homework all has homework. None of my college classes (not AP) had homework worth anything more than 20% so maybe high school is just bs.

We have a winner!!!
