I'm thinking about taking it next year. How hard do you guys think the class is, and the AP exam is? Also I don't think our teacher is the greatest... do you recommend taking the class if the teacher is kind of lazy? I have him this year for honors and he has asked me a couple times to take AP Physics C next year. There will only be about 14 kids in the class, and knowing this teacher we will never have homework and all the tests will be curved. I'm afraid he won't prepare us for the exam though.

If he won’t provide homework you have an advantage. You can work out problems at your pace. And you look over past AP exams to help you prep for the exam, I would tell you to go for it. Many students have self-studied the Physics C exam (actually I’m self-studying for it right now.) You should check this thread for past examinations:http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/871862-2010-ap-physics-c-study-thread.html . Look at his laziness as an advantage for you. If have problems you can ask him.

I’ll be taking Physics C next year as well (both M and E&M). I hope it’s not too vigorous!

Thanks for the advice. Has anyone else taken this class? Will I be able to do fine if I’m not some physics genius?

Bumpity bump

I’m taking the AP Physics C class and finding it really hard. (But then again, I’m not that great of a math student, so hopefully you’ll find it easier:p) We are supposed to be convering both the M and the E&M material but at the pace we’re going right now, there’s no way my class will get to the E&M part on time.

The physics C course goes really well with the calculus curriculum. It’s like an application of all the things you learn in calc.

Hm. I’m taking AP Calc AB this year and BC next year, so I think I will be fine. Hmm seriously considering picking this for my 4th AP next year.
