I'm completely against it, but that's because I'm Hispanic.

I think AZ should be an anarchist state with no laws.

Had a feeling someone was going to bring this up…

I think they could’ve worked it out better, but then I don’t live there. According to an article I read, residents there wanted the law b/c of all the violence. Of course the majority are not in the group, but they “want to keep their children safe.” Still think they could have worded the thing better.

But then how would they change it…so that ALL blacks, Asians, Caucasians, Hispanics carry their info. Such a hassle.

Still I wish they could have found a better way…

Racist and unconstitutional.

It’ll be overturned by the courts. In the mean time, we get to point and laugh and then be slightly saddened by what this immigration debate has come to.

“Racist and unconstitutional.”

Since when is illegal immigrant a race?

Unconstitutional… Yeah, I’m inclined to agree. Doesn’t mean it’ll get overturned though. It’s not like it’s the only unconstitutional law out there.

While I support the idea of having strict laws against illegal immigration, the AZ law gives police officers to check on anyone who “look like an illegal immigrant”. Come on Arizona! You can do better than that.

What do I think? I am very much against the law.

I think a law is needed definitely, HOWEVER a better/different law needs to be in place. I just don’t feel Jane Brewer really knew SB1070 would cause this much controversy.

I wonder who wrote this law…and if they ever thought to themselves… “Hmm how would we know if someone is an citizen or immigrant or perhaps a undocumented immigrant.”
