You ask me whether I'm embarrassed about where I went to school, and you don't think I should take that the wrong way? So what is the 'right way' to take that?

I asked if you're embarrassed about openly saying where you went to school. What's the right way to take it? Answer yes or no? /rocketscience

Again, trust me, I have nothing to be embarrassed about. If anything, I conceal my identity to protect others, as I don't want my background to skew the discussion (as it sometimes does).

But like I said, for those who want to know, PM/email are open. I would only ask you reciprocate by telling me your background and why you want to know.

jPoD aren't you the kid who is too stupid to go to BU so your going to BU GS? I honestly think your in no position to be talking smack to sakky about his background.

sakky is one of the smartest posters on this board, so you should get off his case. he has no reason to tell you his background.

Wow. If that wasnt the most rude post i've ever seen on this site...Yes, i'm too stupid so i'm going to CGS. Howard Stern was also too 'stupid' so he went to CGS and look where he is! /sarcasm. I'm not even arguing anything you dimwit. I was just asking why they couldnt say where they went...Holy crap this site is a joke.

EDIT: I find it ironic that you missed a you*'re*

Guys, let's calm down. There's no need for anybody to insult anybody else.

that post i made wasnt in regards to me, it was a post for a friend. my HS gpa was a 3.5 and I got a 1300 on old SAT. I am currently a junior at Fordham University in the Bronx. Much better school than BU imho, and I didn't have to go through high school for 6 years to get in.

But for CGS you're admitting your a reject and academic failure and committing yourself to 2 years more of high school(basically.) I didn't make this up, I heard it from BU kids talking about the CGS.

I've heard all that crap before. Funny thing is, besides a few options, we take the same courses. They just pick an elective or two soph year and we dont. Funny that you speak like we're retards yet you know nothing about the program yourself. Call me one all you want, but that means Howard Stern is a retard. I'd sure as hell take being a retard if I was as successful as him so...

What's so special about Howard Stern? He realized that if you go on the radio and talk about sex and bring on hot celebs that people will listen in on the radio and watch the show. He could have gone to his local community college and figured that one out.

I'm not saying he is. I'm personally a big Howard Stern fan. I just think education played a very small role in his success. He just saw a market for a radio show that would break the rules and talk about what guys really wanted to hear. It obviously worked. I'd say he is more of a business success than a comm success. Just as the same could be said about George Lucas and the film industry - he's more of a success from a business standpoint than a film standpoint.

Many people owe their entry-level job(benefit) to what college they went to. For example, if a smart student got a great job at an investment bank because he went to Wharton, he benefitted from it. However, it's possible that a smarter student who turned down Wharton for financial reasons and went to a no-name school for Finance but finds himself unemployed afterwards did not benefit from where they went to college specifically.
